Kitao in Greek means "to look". It is always nice to look, sometimes looking at the right thing the right way can get you very far.
When i first visited
their website i was really impressed. At least something simple! and i decided to write about them. Since their work is admirable they are friendly and they come from Greece ;-) the truth is that i didn't know what to write about them... but later on after browsing their website i saw something that triggered my attention and i felt happy reading the culture of the agency so here is what Kitao is all about:
"And this is how all begun...
Metaxourgio: a downtown section of Athens with character. Where car service stations, tinsmiths and brothels dominate. One of the city's most genuine neighborhoods, where houses still maintain their backyards and people still hang out their wash to dry in the sun. A part of the capital reminiscing the old times. A street near the new 'Metaxourgio' Metro Station. That's where you will find us: KITAO.
KITAO is a production company specializing in the genre of applied photography. Mind you, we are not simply a studio.
Having formed a network of artists ranging from photographers, producers, directors, production managers, stage designers, painters, stylists, musicians, casting directors, art directors, KITAO is in search of creative answers to the high demands of communication.
We firmly believe in people, in those afternoon group gatherings that give rise to the exchange of ideas and occasion for the search of new ones. Yet, none of this could have become real without the creation of the 'right place'. Such a place must inspire and possess all those qualities that make work and innovation possible.
Our wonderful industrial building on Peanieon Street, not only does it meet all the technical requirements for what we have set out to accomplish, it also exudes a beautiful energy and all of us feel it while in our beautiful garden, surrounded by lemon trees, basil plants oregano and Arabic jasmine.
Our dream, however, does not end here. We hope that with our ever-growing group, we will be able to create a nucleus that will attract artists from all modes of expression."
I think they have the proper philosophy and they are friendly thus Success is something unavoidable. Many KUDOS.
